Here in the charming streets of the Suburra, a residential district where Julius Caesar grew up, is a unique apartment with a very special grotto bathroom. Since the main, grotto part of the apartment was once used as a wine cellar and is naturally cool, the owner has thoughtfully installed an excellent dehumidifier for your comfort. One of the charming aspects of this apartment is the spiral staircase that leads to the first floor, however, it is not recommended for persons of large girth. It is one of our larger apartments, and perfect for a family group. The owner of the apartment is a journalist for one of the major TV stations of Italy, and speaks flawless English. Although the building itself dates from the 1600's (you can see in the grotto bathroom that the foundations include marble and pottery from Roman times), it has been recently redecorated and completely redone to offer all the modern comforts you could desire. The main entrance to the apartment is on the ground floor, and there are a few small steps at the entrance. It can be rented together with its sister apartment, code 0002, for larger groups.
